This largely depends on the care and use of the molds. If cared for properly, molds can be used dozens of times before beginning to degrade. However, certain resins such as deep pour, harsh chemicals such as rubbing alcohol, or use of excessive heat can shorten the life of your mold significantly.
Slow curing or harsh resins may cause your molds to wear out faster and/or lose their transparency/turn white. For best results I recommend using a 1:1 ratio resin such as iCoat HV. Please note that I will not replace molds that have turned white due to the resin used.
Feel free to contact me for more information on resins I recommend/don’t recommend.
• Do NOT use a torch with this mold! Doing so will damage the surface of the mold and can cause your resin to permanently fuse with the silicone.
• Molds may not be suitable for use with a pressure pot and is at your own risk.
• Molds can be cleaned by using packing tape to remove bits of resin or specs of dust/hair. You can also wash your molds with gentle soap and water if necessary.
Unfortunately, I am unable to take custom mold requests at this time.
